In early December 2018 I turned 40… I know, i don’t look a day over 39! Just over 3 years ago I started the most amazing chapter of my life when i became a Dad. I am married to the most fantastic person, who is the best mum and an awesome friend. I founded my own small business, run a charity and i am loving life.

However, my fitness has taken a bit of a back seat of late… well for the last 10 years or so! I have therefore set myself the task of doing 40 health/ fitness related challenges during the course of my 40th year. My aim is to not make these easy as i want to really push myself to not only make it a real challenge, but i am also keen to see how much i can do.

On this page i am going to be posting updates on how i get on and insights on the good, the bad and the ugly side over the next year! You can also see how I am doing on Twitter and Instagram where i am using the following hashtag: #40at40

During the course of this year, while i am doing these challenges I am also going to try and raise money for three charities, which are close to my heart. These are:

Kit Us Out – a charity supporting disabled athtletes in developing nations and deprived communities in the UK via the provision of key items of kit and equipment

Heads Together – a mental health initiative to tackle stigma and change the conversation on mental health

The Trussell Trust – A network of over 420 foodbanks, which work out of more than 1,200 centres across the UK and provide emergency food to people referred for support

Wish me luck…
